Within delegated responsibility and authority of the General Manager
Australasia, maintain a close relationship with key developers and architectural and design firms, partner with these global firms to introduce KOHLER, get it specified, drive the profitable sales growth of KOHLER in Australia, and coordinate our sales efforts in other Asian markets. Identify end user needs and business opportunities that will drive sales within the retail, trade and commercial channels. Support the identification, development and execution of strategic marketing activities and consumer and trade focused promotions in support of KOHLER sales in Australia.

Formulate and communicate action plan for carrying out business objectives.
Train and leverage support of the staff of sole distributor staff
Establish and maintain regular contact with key global / local developers and architectural and design firms to introduce new products, assist in selecting product, writing proposals within assigned areas
Be the liaison between our global architect/designer customers and our sales force in Asia region
Be an expert in international design trends and specification
Build trust and rapport with international and local clients to create economic partnership
Displace competitors’ product and make KOHLER the primary choice of these global developer and architectural and design firms
Build personal relationships and build trust with principals and key designers
Establish relationships within Kohler Co.’s international divisions and work together to ensure our clients get world class service and support
Present and protect the KOHLER product position within the 3 key sales channels.
Ensure the effectiveness of the Home Builder Program through the sole distributor’s commercial sales team and establish key metrics to track results.
Develop sales support programs with the Retail Sales Managers to increase penetration and sales of KOHLER products in the showroom and trade areas of each branch of the sole distributor.
Understand Kohler ANZ Market strategy. Work with Kohler ANZ Marketing to ensure effective execution of sales programs and promotions for each channel.
Work with product management to analyze and evaluate the performance of product categories. Ensure effective execution of new product launches and POS programs in all sales channels.
Actively participate in seminars, professional organization meetings, trade shows, etc. to keep abreast of new marketing concepts or other developments germane to the function.
Relationships and contacts
Direct reports to the General Manager
K&B Australasia, and dotted-line reports to Product Dev. & National Training Manger and Sr. Manager-Design Consulting, K&B Asia Pacific.
Frequent contact with sales management and individual sales reps in Australasian and other Asian regions.
Regular contact with Australasian as well as with US and Asian Marketing teams.
Regular contact with Australasian Logistics team
Occasional contact with Australasian Finance team,
Member of Australasian senior management team
Work closely with key clients, developer/architects/designers
3~5 years working experience in architectural and design firms is preferred
5 years’ experience in Construction Products Building Sales and Sales Management with well established company in Building Products Industry or 5~8 years’ Sales and Management experience with a well established company in a consumer products industry.
